Not only do they have the most powerful woman in the world leading the country, the best national football team in the world, the best beer in the world, the castle that inspired Disney and the most reliable cars…but it’s also home to PRETZELS!

It may be more known for its dark recent past, but Germany has come out of the 20th Century embracing its place at the heart of Europe, both geographically and politically.

Known for the two cultural powerhouses of Berlin with it’s counter-culture and edginess, as well as the Bavarian capital of Munich and it’s grand architecture, hills and beer, Germany offers so much more. 

Hamburg has grown from being a key European dock that had a quirky-but-huge part in the growth of The Beatles to become a popular destination in its own right and a trip here is incomplete without walking the Reeperbahn and taking in the Punk attitude of St Pauli, Dresden boasts world class art and a city which will charm you, and if you fancy relaxing on the water with a glass of ‘Eisewein’, then travel to the Rhine valley where there are vineyards galore and more romantic castles than anywhere else in the world!

Just don’t leave without a lederhosen or dirndl.
